A delicate and bold balance.

The Polychrome Jasper is known for producing rich diverse colors in the full rainbow. Often little landscapes are found as we search for beauty in the known and unknown that is beneath our feet. This stone is cut by a small family business in the US using fair and safe practices and producing high quality, uniquely cut stones.
In recycled sterling silver, the high cut Jasper sits with a window cut in the back. Hammered texture on the split shank ring band is brought out by the all over patina that darkens the silver but is still polished to a shine. Then we get the detail - the brass prongs that run the length of the bezel and hold tight to the stone giving it a stand out asymmetrical setting that grabs the eye and won't let go.

This piece is one that taught me so much while I was making it, especially about setting stones on a split shank, and about rolling with a design when things don't go as planned.
